As this half term comes to an end, we look forward to the next half term which will start with two short weeks of home learning. In order to complete the work, you will need to collect the next home-learning pack from school. They will be available to collect from school from THURSDAY,11TH FEBRUARY.
It contains the next Maths workbook, a new purple exercise book ( this one has handwriting-style lines in it) and a bean to grow at home.
Please keep hold of the work you have done at home, as we will collect it back in when we return.
Not long now!!!!!

Useful information for Year 1:
We will listen to your child read as often as we can in class, so please send the books in every day. Reading books will be changed every FRIDAY until restrictions are lifted, then they will be changed twice a week.
Paper homework and folders will not be sent home as yet. In your Reading Record you will find two logins for online learning. Please login to these and try some of the activities they have.
Our P.E days are MONDAY and FRIDAY. Please make sure a kit is in school for these days. We only require a T-Shirt, shorts and pumps. Please make sure long hair is tied back and earrings are removed for school.
Shortly, our fruit will start to arrive and we will able to have it at morning playtime. Unfortunately there will be no toast available at playtime, but you may bring in a snack to eat at afternoon playtime. Something like a piece of fruit, biscuit or packet of crisps will help us get through the afternoon!
Show and Tell:
Unfortunately, we are not allowed to ask children to bring in any items from home this half term, but we can still have show and tell via email. If you would like to send in any photographs of special items, special people or days out please send them to me at:
We will share them in class on a Friday afternoon and print them out to display.
In Year 1 we follow ‘Maths, No Problem’ which is a scheme from Singapore. It helps us solve problems by learning many different methods and skills in mathematics. In this first half term, we cover numbers 0-10 in great detail, which means we know them inside out and back to front! We then move onto number bonds, addition and subtraction.
Children will be allowed to drink from their bottle during the school day. Please send in WATER ONLY in a named bottle. Unfortunately, we cannot refill the bottles once they are empty.
